Bardia Eco Lodge offers a simple, relaxed base for exploring one of Nepal’s most wildlife-rich national parks. The mud-brick cottages are clean and cool, with porches that overlook quiet gardens. It’s a short walk to the park entrance, and wildlife often comes close—deer, monkeys, even the occasional jackal. Days start early with tea and a briefing before heading out with local guides, many of whom grew up in nearby Tharu villages. Walks and jeep safaris focus on tracking tigers, rhinos, elephants, and birds, but there’s also space to just sit and observe.
