What we are looking for
Authentic stories from the places themselves.
We are interested in stories related to responsible travel across all destinations. This could be focused on a large issue, such as worker rights for porters, or very localised, like how a community-run project is protecting elephants in Namibia.
We want to get the balance right between heavily-reported pieces that perhaps shine a light on the negative aspects of tourism, but also inspiring, sparky stories that make people think and want to find out more about a place or person. We also welcome guides that highlight a different side to a place, explainers and opinion pieces but only related to countries in Africa and Asia.
We're particularly interested in work from writers and photographers who are native to the country they are reporting on.
