Luxury safari camp in Sri Lanka’s Yala National Park
Luxury safari camp in Sri Lanka’s Yala National Park, a wildlife haven that boasts the highest density of leopards in the world. At the edge of Yala National Park, Wild Coast Tented Lodge’s 28 cocoon-like tents, designed with canvas and teak, are arranged in clusters that echo a safari camp yet mirror the curves of the surrounding boulders. Inside, copper bathtubs stand beneath vaulted ceilings, and four-poster beds face glass panels that open to the wilderness. A freeform infinity pool stretches toward the sea, merging with the horizon. Wild elephants regularly pass through the property. Guides track sloth bears and leopards on daily game drives into Yala’s less-frequented blocks. Naturalists lead bush walks focused on animal tracks and endemic flora.
