A 450-acre nature resort reached by funicular lift
Wildernest Nature Resort sits at the point where Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra meet, in the Swapnagandha Valley of the Chorla Ghats. Twenty-one themed eco-cottages, ranging from valley-view and jungle-view rooms to family cottages and three with private plunge pools, are spread across the resort's 450-acre forested site, connected by a funicular lift that carries guests up from the car park to avoid cutting roads through the hillside.
The design leans on minimal-impact architecture throughout. Guided nature treks, birdwatching and visits to nearby Vazra and Sada waterfalls make up the core activities, alongside evening cultural performances. The Western Ghats setting is a UNESCO-recognised biodiversity hotspot, and the resort positions itself around soft adventure and unplugging rather than resort-style entertainment, with no in-room TVs to encourage guests back outdoors.
